Jessica B. Fairchild
Jessica B. Fairchild is an experienced business attorney and executive with more than 17 years of legal experience in several settings: large law firm, in-house and solo private practice.
Jessica formed Fairchild Law Offices in 2010. As the Founding Partner of Fairchild Law Offices, Jessica has sought to develop long-standing relationships with clients, often serving as outside general counsel. Under Jessica’s leadership, Fairchild Law Offices has grown both in terms of number of clients served and attorneys affiliated with the firm. Jessica looks to provide top-notch legal services, and combines that with practical advice to both the business and legal clients she advises.
Before starting Fairchild Law Offices, Jessica served as the General Counsel of Chicago 2016 from January 2007 through December 2009. Chicago 2016 was the not-for-profit organization that led Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this role, Jessica handled a wide variety of legal and strategic issues, was a direct advisor to the organization’s senior management and Board of Directors, and managed a legal department which oversaw all legal matters for Chicago 2016. Jessica also worked closely with the chief legal officers and other staff of the City of Chicago and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Jessica also served as counsel to World Business Chicago with regard to hosting of the NATO Summit in Chicago in May 2012.
Prior to that, Jessica was a member of the Corporate and Securities practice of Sidley Austin LLP’s Chicago office beginning in August 2000. As an attorney at Sidley, Jessica practiced in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, securities and general corporate law. In particular, Jessica represented both buyers and sellers of public and private corporations in mergers and acquisitions transactions, and assisted private equity and venture capital firms in business transactions. She also worked with various publicly traded companies on corporate finance transactions and advised them with respect to corporate and federal securities laws issues, including corporate governance matters.

Jessica was admitted to legal practice in Illinois in 2000. She is a 2000 graduate of The University of Chicago Law School with high honors. Jessica received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois in 1997. She was a member of the University of Illinois Women’s Tennis team from 1993 to 1997.
Jessica is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Entertainment and Sports Industries and the Chicago Bar Association.
Lori Simon Gordon
Lori Gordon is an experienced business attorney and executive with a breadth of experience advising clients on matters of business law for over 30 years in various settings. Lori joined Fairchild Law Offices in 2014. Lori practiced corporate and securities law in a large firm environment for 13 years, first at Schiff Hardin and then at Latham & Watkins, where she became a partner in 1991.
Subsequently, she worked as the Director of Corporate Development and General Counsel for Jellyvision, Inc., an interactive media company. Following Jellyvision, Lori worked for seven years as Loss Prevention Counsel at Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society, Inc., A Risk Retention Group (ALAS), the largest mutual company provider of lawyers’ professional liability insurance coverage to large law firms.
She has consulted for companies on legal and business matters and authored a book Rest Assured: The Sabbatical Solution for Lawyers. (ABA, 2002) Lori received her undergraduate degree with honors from Brown University. She received her JD from the Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as an Editor of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business, and her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. Lori is a member of the American Bar Association. She also served for the last several years as a member of the Governing Board of the Working Group on Legal Opinions Foundation, an organization that provides a national forum for the discussion of important issues relating to closing opinions.
Evelyn C. Arkebauer
Evelyn C. Arkebauer is a seasoned, efficient business attorney with over 30 years of corporate and securities law experience, providing effective counsel across diverse industries. Evelyn joined Fairchild Law Offices in 2018.
At the request of several clients, in 2009 Evelyn left Reed Smith LLP, where she was practicing as a partner, to open her own practice. She was a partner at Sachnoff & Weaver prior to its merger with Reed Smith in 2007, and also at the Chicago office of Foley & Lardner, where she was elevated to partner in 1995. Throughout her career she has provided legal counsel to funds, businesses and executives in financial, service and manufacturing industries. She regularly assists clients over a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, secured lending, securities filings and general compliance, employee and management equity programs and public and private company investor relations.
Evelyn received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and State Bars of Illinois and Wisconsin.
Tamara Gray Jain
Tamara Gray Jain joined Fairchild Law Offices in 2014. As Counsel with Fairchild Law Offices, Tamara served one of the firm’s largest clients as primary counsel for their customer contracts and business associate agreements. Tamara has also assisted other clients with mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings and a variety of commercial agreements.
Previously, Tamara spent over six years at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where she advised clients on tax and real estate transactional matters. In her previous work, Tamara assisted private equity firms, real estate funds, real estate investment trusts and other clients with fund formations, mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions. Tamara received her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from Cornell University and her Juris Doctorate degree, Cum Laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she also served as the Executive Editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.
Tamara was admitted to legal practice in Illinois in 2002 and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
Of Counsel – Real Estate
Jamie Moorhead is real estate Of Counsel to Fairchild Law Offices, and assists clients of Fairchild Law Offices with commercial real estate matters. Jamie Moorhead owns and runs the Moorhead Law Group, LLC, a law firm based in the Chicago area. Founded in 2012, the firm has a national practice. Jamie primarily represents tenants in negotiating retail, restaurant, fitness studio, office, and industrial/warehouse leases. Since 1999, his practice also has included general commercial real estate, land use, conservation, and natural resource law. In addition to tenants, he advises land owners and buyers. Clients have ranged from entrepreneur start-ups to Fortune Top 10 companies and include retailers, restaurants, fitness and entertainment companies, multinationals, and manufacturers. Jamie has handled roughly 750 leases and 300 property sales in all 50 states, with a total value above $2 billion. He was selected as a “40 Under Forty Illinois Attorneys” in 2011.
Susan K. Saltzman
Susan Saltzman joined Fairchild Law Offices as a paralegal in 2016 and has assisted in reviewing and revising Business Associate Agreements for a large health care client, assisted clients with setting up legal entities and reviewed and created agreement abstracts.
Susan is an experienced paralegal with over 19 years of experience working with various companies. Prior to her work at Fairchild Law Offices, Susan worked for Inland Real Estate, drafting and negotiating various legal documents relating to leasing matters of commercial, industrial and retail real estate. Prior to Inland, Susan worked for General Growth Properties as a Senior Paralegal. At General Growth, Susan was a member of a legal team responsible for drafting and negotiating retail leases for a portfolio of regional shopping centers.
Susan graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Minnesota and obtained a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Loyola University in 1999.
